Hannah Watters – Owner/Director
BSW (hons), Grad Dip Counselling, Masters of Arts (Counselling), 200 Hr Yoga Teacher
As a qualified social worker and trained counsellor, Hannah delivers the Counselling and Parent Coaching programs at Connect the Dots. She has over 12 years of experience in providing best practice, evidence based mental health support and holds current registration with AASW and ACA.
Hannah’s clinical interests are in working with children, families, women during the pre and postnatal period and issues such as anxiety and depression. Most recently, Hannah has worked as a Child and Family Counsellor in a government funded Targeted Early Intervention role, based in a local community centre in South-West Sydney.
Hannah has specific training in providing trauma informed support and is a facilitator of several evidence based parenting and mindfulness programs.
Hannah has practiced yoga since high school (don’t ask her how long that has been!) however she found a deeper love and appreciation for the practice during the early years of parenting. Yoga, meditation and mindfulness were an essential part of her healing, during her struggles with postnatal depression and PTSD.
This is what gave Hannah the courage to take a bold step and become a small business owner; she hopes to provide the same support and care for other struggling families, letting them know that they are not alone in their challenges.
Owning Connect the Dots with her bestie Bron, is a dream come true for Hannah and combines her passion for quality, affordable mental health interventions, with her love of yoga.
Hannah is a mum to two girls, a dedicated op shopper, loves a quiet walk with a podcast, appreciates a strong flow but also a gentle yin class and is often found with her nose in a book.
